We normally try to not pilfer directly from other sites, but after discovering perennial fave Brenna Murphy’s video for the opening track on Střed Světa’s January-released album – along with a full stream of the album itself – we decided to throw caution to the wind and just do it. Props to the ever-impressive adhoc.fm for the heads up.
So, in our own words… anyone who’s into the hyperactive, abrasive electronics of the likes of Pete Swanson, RSS Boys and The Cyclist should take a few minutes out of their afternoon to experience the onslaught of disjointed, kaleidoscopic noise that constitutes Střed Světa’s cut-up, ultra-processed explorations into contemporary techno. Brenna Murphy’s reality-dysmorphic hatchet-job of early internet pseudo-worlds and oriental holiday footage provides a perfect accompaniment and introduction for the glitchy, bizarro aesthetic, but for the full effect stream the whole album below. Happy wanderings in the ether-zone.
