This week has seen the return of some pretty big hitters, with new tracks from long-silent favourites Baths and Mount Kimbie as well as offerings from prolific mainstays Gold Panda, The Men and James Ferraro. Add to that some sumptuous drone from Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, Julia Kent’s elegiac modern-classicism and the first song to emerge from Petrels’ stunning second album, Onkalo and you have a pretty unbelievable soundtrack to your Friday. Enjoy.
Whether it’s in their collective guise or as solo artists, we’ve got a lot of time for Alessio Natalizia and Sam Willis, aka Walls. Good news, then, that they’ve announced the creation of a new label, Ecstatic, which will run as an offshoot of German powerhouse imprint Kompakt. Get your ears around this taster mix featuring a brand new track from the duo plus cuts from Kassem Mosse and other artists from Ecstatic’s roster.
And, as if that wasn’t enough, Pete Swanson’s ear-shredding new EP, Punk Authority, popped up this week to stream in full. Enjoy:
